Biodiversity in the Dutch practice of cost-benefit analysis

A major use is to compare the cost-effectiveness of project alternatives with respect to their impact on biodiversity. For assessing the net benefits of projects, it is more informative than qualitative or ordinal expert opinions on a policy measure’s impact on biodiversity. This paper provides the first overview of this method in Dutch CBA practice.
