Conferentie 'Flexibiliteit van de Arbeidsmarkt'

Op 20 en 21 januari 2011 organiseren CPB en Researchcentrum voor Onderwijs en Arbeidsmarkt (ROA) van de Universiteit Maastricht de conferentie 'Flexibiliteit van de Arbeidsmarkt'. Een negental buitenlandse sprekers presenteert studies over hun land, of vergelijken verschillende landen.

De studies betreffen onder andere vaste contracten, tijdelijke contracten, sociale zekerheid en lonen. De vrijdagmiddag zal geheel in het licht staan van beleid en de lessen die we kunnen trekken uit ervaringen in andere landen. Frank Cörvers (ROA) en Rob Euwals (CPB) presenteren een gezamenlijke CPB-ROA studie over de flexibiliteit van de Nederlandse arbeidsmarkt. De middag wordt afgesloten met een paneldiscussie tussen wetenschappers en vertegenwoordigers van de Nederlandse werknemers en werkgevers organisaties.
       
De voertaal van de conferentie is Engels. De buitenlandse sprekers zijn Prof. Richard Freeman (Harvard University and London School of Economics), Prof. Tito Boeri (Bocconi University, Milaan), Prof. Francis Kramarz (CREST, Parijs), Prof. John Martin (OESO, Parijs), Prof. Pedro Portugal (Central Bank of Portugal), Prof. Samuel Bentolila (CEMFI Madrid) , Prof. Bernd Fitzenberger (University of Freiburg), Prof. Torben Andersen (Aarhus University) and Prof. Peter Fredriksson (Stockholm University).
