Economical and spatial reinforcement of the mainport Rotterdam
This paper investigates the future spatial and economic developments of the mainport Rotterdam.
The study aims on gaining insight in nature, size and urgence of future spatial bottlenecks and related economic effects. On the basis of these investigations it is possible to point the way to solutions for these bottlenecks, such as expansion of the harbour area, by means of a second "Maasvlakte" (Maas area).
