World trade monitor: May 2011

World trade volume recovered by 2.3% in May 2011, following a slightly upward revised fall of 2.2% in April. This is shown by the CPB world trade monitor. A Background document is attached.

May 2011: World trade up by 2.3% month on month, following a 2.2% decline in April.
May 2011: World industrial production up by 0.8 % month on month, following a 0.2% fall in April.
