World trade monitor: September 2010

The volume of world trade increased by 0.9% in the third quarter, the lowest quarterly figure since the second quarter of 2009. This is shown by the CPB world trade monitor.
  • Third quarter 2010: world trade up by 0.9% quarter on quarter, the lowest quarterly figure since 2009Q2.
  • Third quarter 2010: world industrial production up by 0.6% quarter on quarter, the lowest quarterly figure since 2009Q1.
  • September 2010: world trade down by 0.6% month on month, after a downwardly revised 1.4% increase in August.
  • September 2010: world industrial production down by 0.2%.
