Turning growth into jobs; Papers and proceedings of the European Economic Forum of 23 March 1994
In order to contribute to the debate on the origins and nature of, and possible solutions to the European unemployment problem, the Centre for European Policy Studies and the Central Planning Bureau of the Netherlands have organized a European Economic Forum entitled "Turning Growth into Jobs".
The forum was held on 23 March 1994 in Brussels and was sponsored by the Générale de Banque. Papers were presented by representatives of leading economic research institutes in the European Union, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and research departments of major corporations. The present volume collects the integral versions of these contributions. An introductory section summarizes the content of the papers and the ensuing discussion.
