Thursday 26 March 9am corona crisis economic scenarios
On Thursday 26 March at 9am, CPB will publish scenarios on the impact of the corona crisis on the Dutch economy and public finances. Although it is clear the coronavirus and the measures taken by government to limit the pandemic in the Netherlands will have substantial economic consequences, the magnitude of those effects is highly uncertain. CPB will therefore use scenarios to present possible economic impacts on the Dutch economy in 2020 and 2021. The scenarios will give an impression of the possible consequences and highlight the most important uncertainties. A limited number of variables will be presented with the focus on employment, GDP and the public finances. CPB will not pass a judgement on which of the scenarios is the most likely.
