CPB launches quarterly Newsletter

As from today, CPB Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis will publish quarterly Newsletters, both in a Dutch and in an English version. Next to the printed version, the newsletters are available at www.cpb.nl for anyone who is interested in the Dutch and international economy.

The English version of CPB Newsletteris targeted at the international scientific community and economists interested in Dutch and international issues. This concise newsletter presents an overview of CPB's work. Our website provides more elaborate information, including all full publications on CPB research. CPB Newsletter offers:

  • A survey of all recent CPB publications, with abstracts of the publications which are most relevant for the international target groups.
  • A short article on a recent research project. In this first issue: the relation between wage moderation and labour productivity.
  • A table with our most recent economic forecasts for this and next year. Together with this, we issue a press release in English, explaining and underpinning our estimates, plus a memorandum containing background information on the world economic outlook.

Four times a year we make our new short-term projections public, always with a press release. The publication date for CPB Newsletter will always coincide with that of the forecasts. This means that you can expect the next issue to be released on Tuesday, 21 September 2004, together with CPB's Macro Economic Outlook and the Government's budget proposals. In March, the Newsletters will be made public together with CPB's Central Economic Plan. The June and December forecasts will be published only in the Newsletters.
