EUROFRAME Conference on Economic Policy Issues in the European Union
The 13th EUROFRAME Conference on Economic Policy Issues in the European Union will take place in Utrecht on June 10th 2016. The Conference will focus on the effects and policy implications of balance sheets misalignments for the EU economies.
The financial crisis brought into light that balance sheets are not neutral: their size and composition matter for the response of the economy to shocks, for the impact of stabilisation policy and for the effect of economic reforms. Contributions could address: the effects of asset price shocks on the real economy, the role of financial intermediation in creating or preventing balance sheet misalignments, and the link between deleveraging and balance sheets misalignments in the monetary union. Contributions addressing households, companies, or public sector levels, like contributions at the country level are welcomed.
EUROFRAME is a network of European institutes for economic policy analysis in which the CPB participates.
